Overview

The Sleep Pressure Relief is a mattress and bed set which primarily advertises itself as being one of the best solutions for those with (or worried about developing) back problems who find themselves not into the stiff memory foam mattresses which dominate the therapeutic side of the memory foam market. Not only is it rather soft when compared to said therapeutic mattresses, but it’s actually quite soft when compared to the memory foam market in its entirety. As such, the Master Sleep Pressure Relief isn’t only great for those who find themselves with a bit of back pain from time to time, but is even great for those who simply want the softest mattresses they can get their hands on that isn’t guaranteed to hurt their health after an extended period of use (as so many overly-soft mattresses do).

Firmness

As previously stated, the Master Sleep Pressure Relief’s most distinguishing feature is its softness. This is apparent when stacked up to your typical memory foam bed. When compared to therapeutic beds; however, it becomes downright shocking. In fact, one could easily assume that the Master Sleep Pressure Relief isn’t a therapeutic bed at all, and may even hinder the state of one’s back health. This goes on to illustrate just how soft it really is. Short of buying a mattress made entirely of low-density memory foam, you’ll have a tough time finding something as soft as this.

Sleep Master 8-Inch1Said softness is achieved through the use of layers within the bed, each layer consisting of its own density. While this is far from uncommon nowadays, the ratio of the layers in question are themselves rather interesting. For example, there is roughly as much low-density foam used in the Master Sleep Pressure Relief’s make as there is high-density foam. This keeps things soft while throwing in some dense material underneath, material which has been proven to be great for backs time and time again.

Recovery Time

If there’s one thing that stays consistent across all memory foam mattresses that use layers of different densities in their make, it’s that the recovery time they exhibit just can’t be beat. And, as it turns out, the Master Sleep Pressure Relief is no exception to this rule. In fact, I’d wager the Master Sleep Pressure Relief’s recovery time is even better than most layered mattresses due to the ratios of the different materials it uses.

Because such a large amount of low-density foam is used in the upper portions of the mattress, it’s hard to throw any amount of pressure at the Master Sleep Pressure Relief that it can’t bounce back from instantaneously. Long story short, the upper layers soak up all of the owner’s weight, ensuring that the bottom layer – which is higher in density – needn’t contend with too much weight at all. And, as it turns out, low-density foam recovers quicker than high-density foam. You can see how this might work in the Master Sleep Pressure Relief’s favor.

Durability

If there’s one thing that the Master Sleep Pressure Relief isn’t good at, it’s staying intact. This is not the mattress’ fault, nor is it the fault of the manufacturer. Unfortunately, when it comes to beds layered with foams of different densities, a lack of durability is a necessary evil. The reason for this all comes down to the mattress’ outer layer. The outer layer is made of a foam low in density. As it turns out, low-density foam is likely the least durable memory foam you’ll be able to get your hands on. As such, one will need to take extra care to preserve their new mattress after buying the Master Sleep Pressure Relief.

Warranty Information

Zinus Memory Foam 12 Inch2While the Master Sleep Pressure Relief seems to stack up quite well to nearly every similar mattress on the market, this is not so much the case when it comes to its warranty. While the golden standard has been to offer memory foam mattress owners a ten-year warranty, this is cut in half for owners of the Master Sleep Pressure Relief. Considering one may pay well over three hundred dollars for the set, it would be nice to see a manufacturer confident enough with their product to offer us at least ten years of protection. A five-year warranty just isn’t all that great.

Overall Summary

Despite its lousy warranty and its layered make which lends itself to a lesser degree of durability, the Master Sleep Pressure Relief is great for those who love soft mattresses. I won’t say it is the softest mattress across the lands, though I’ll say that it is extremely soft in relation to the amount of back support it gives users. If you like soft mattresses but have been afraid of their health implications, the Master Sleep Pressure Relief might be just what you need.
